Lab 3 - Organization settings & general template

Organization settings form the backbone of your company’s Webex environment, providing consistency, security, and a customized experience for all users and devices. Some of these settings are best applied organization-wide, while others may be tailored using a template for specific groups of users. In this exercise, we’ll explore how to configure both types to best meet your organization’s needs.

The Organization default vs template settings chart shows which organization settings are set by default and which you can change for groups using the template. Use the chart as a quick reference to see default settings versus customizable options to fit your organization’s needs

In the Webex App, employees and contractors should only be able to message internally and with approved external vendors, such as Cisco and Temp Recruiters, Inc. Allow messaging with approved domains. PixelPals wants their unique character names, games, and proprietary game engine terms to be excluded from spell check suggestions in Messaging and displayed correctly in meeting transcriptions. Sometimes contractors finish a project but are asked to come back for another one a few weeks later. Extend the time period for deleting inactive users.	Manage inactive user Delete inactive users after 60 days
Leadership is concerned about unprofessional changes to user profiles. PixelPals fosters an inclusive and respectful workplace culture that respects individuals’ pronoun preferences. Disable editing of certain user atttributes and enable the prounoun feature. AI generated summaries could contain sensitive ideas, designs, or project plans that shouldn’t be shared outside the organization. Disable summaries for Messaging, Meetings and recordings. Personal insights often analyze collaboration patterns, meeting data, and internal communications, which may expose information about team workflows, project status, or confidential activities.
