Lab 1 - Organization Settings

In this lab, you will learn how to navigate and configure organization settings for Webex Calling.

  • Paw Pet Supply Solutions desire their telephone system configured in a certain way:

    • Control Hub Configuration easy, with a longer timeout
    • Extensions with the XX-XXX format, with mirrored extensions
    • Default passcode for voicemail
    • Call Recording with Webex

Instructions

1.

Management-> Organization Settings-> Control Hub Idle Timeout

You do not want to be logged out of Control Hub every 20 minutes

  • Change the timeout to 12 hours

Services-> Calling-> Settings-> Service-> Internal dialing-> Edit

All location extensions are mirror images of each other

Enable an internal dialing plan at the organization level

  • Routing prefix length: 2

  • Steering digit: 8

  • Extension length: 3

Services-> Calling-> Settings-> Service-> Voicemail

A default passcode is required for new voicemail users

Set a default voicemail passcode for all users in the organization

  • Default Passcode: 258011

Webex is the preferred calling vendor

Set Webex as the call recording provider
